Although the club is by no means competition orientated we do believe that one of the best ways of improving your photography is to have it scrutinized by an independent, unbiased individual. Given that no such person exists we, like other camera clubs, have to rely on judges to tell us how marvelous our work is and to that end we hold an annual 4 round competition for our members, where individuals can enter work to gain points towards the annual trophies.

As well as the internal competitions, we take part in a large number of external competitions against other Camera Clubs.

The format of this years annual competition has changed somewhat from previous years, the rules have also changed to take into account the new format, so members are advised to head straight to the new rules to check them out.

Internal Competition Dates

Whilst the competition may be held over two consecutive evenings the closing date for submission of entries to each round of the competition will be on the same evening, one week before the first night of the competition.

As well as the annual competition there are three further internal competitions, namely the 'Open', the 'Digital' and the 'Music' competition sponsored by Hob Goblin Music in Newport Pagnell.

As well as the numerous internal competitions we, as a club, take part in a variety of other 'external' competitions. These competitions are a cross section of print, slide and audio visual competitions

The external competitions range from the CACC's annual Rose Bowl competition between all of the clubs in the CACC through the Audio Visual competitions between ourselves and other clubs from neighbouring federations to our very own competition Central Club Challenge.
