Central Club Challenge 2006

Central Club Challenge is our annual slide competition battled out over 5 rounds. It is a club competition with clubs coming from three different PAGB regions, within a 30 mile radius of Milton Keynes. This year however was the first time we ran it as a totally digital competition and it was very succesful.
This years Judge, Kevin Herbert from Garston, Watford, provided a very entrtaining and informative view of the presented slides and with many high quality images to judge marking was well handled using a wide range from the 20 points available. This years Winning club scored consistantly throughout the competition dropping only 7 points from the 100 points available over the five rounds.
The competition at the top of the score table was close right up to the final round with positions 2 through to 7 being separated by only 5 points! However, through scoring consistantly through all the rounds, the final winners, Shillington & District Camera Club, were very worthy winners with a very high quality set of images.
Best Image of the Night was a lovelly image titled 'Old Soldier Reflects' by Vic Oliver, also of Shillington & District CC.
A big thank you to all those clubs who entered this years inaugural digital Central Club Challenge, well done to the winners and we look forward to seeing you all again next year.
