6 July: 7.30-9.30pm
“3 Sticks” ( Jenny Newman, Andy Glass & Pete Hemsley). Link: 3sticks
Well known local band, playing traditional folk music on violin, guitar and drums. Some of you may remember my picture of Jenny, which won the “live music” competition last year.
Venue: Eversholt Village Hall. Eversholt map
Directions: From Woburn, take the road through the deer park, then fork right (Hills End) towards Eversholt. At T-junction turn right (Tyrells End). The village hall is on the right, next to the cricket pitch.
Afterwards at the Green Man pub, Church End, Eversholt MK17 9DU
Note: 3Sticks are playing on a “time for photos” basis. It is important therefore that everyone who comes along on the evening supplies a set of photos for them to use for publicity. I would like to get about 6 photos from everyone. These can be supplied on CD, or you can email them to me: simon.raynor@which.net .
13 July: 7.30-9.30pm
Buckingham Railway Centre. Link: Bucks rail centre
This is a specially arranged guided tour after normal opening hours, when the centre is normally closed. It should provide a wonderful opportunity to take atmospheric pictures of old steam trains, carriages and other railway paraphernalia – a chance not to be missed!
Venue: Buckingham Railway Centre, Quainton. BRC map
Again, I have promised photos in return for being allowed special access, so I shall be grateful if everyone who comes along lets me have a few pictures.
20 July: 7.00-8.30pm
Howe Park Wood, Milton Keynes.
Guided nature walk through some of our ancient woodland with Gordon Redford, Education Officer of MK Parks Trust. This should be really interesting and provide some good photo opportunities, particularly for nature fans. Even if you don’t take any pictures, I am sure it will be an interesting walk.
Venue: Howe Park Wood, Milton Keynes. Meet in the car park off the H7 Chaffron Way, opposite Westcroft. Howe Park Wood map
27 July
To be confirmed: probably a walk around the old part of Haversham and the sailing lake.
