The New City Photographic Society is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) through the Chilterns Association of Camera Clubs (CACC). We are also members of the Milton Keynes Photographic Alliance (MKPA).

So what exactly does all that mean?

The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain consists of the Federations, Associations and Unions of photographic societies and camera clubs in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It promotes and co-ordinates various activities for its members, including exhibitions of members' work. There are 15 regional federations.

The PAGB organises national photographic competitions, for which it awards medals, ribbons and certificates and also presents a series of Awards for Photographic Merit. The Awards are open to all members of Clubs affiliated to the PAGB through their Federations and are at three levels: Credit, Distinction and Master.

The Chiltern Association of Camera Clubs serves Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, part of Berkshire north of the M4 and part of Hertfordshire west of the M1. The principle objectives and rules of the CACC are to provide and maintain a list of judges and lecturers for the use of the associate Clubs, and to assist in the promotion of good standards of club photography.

The CACC also organises an annual Inter-Club Slide Competition (aka The Rose Bowl Competition), an Inter-Club Print Competition, a Slide and Print of the Year Competitions and an Audio-Visual Competition. The CACC is affiliated to the PAGB and FIAP.

The Milton Keynes Photographic Alliance is a local alliance of camera clubs in the Milton Keynes area. Consisting of NCPS, Buckingham Camera Club, Leighton Buzzard Photographic Club, Towcester Camera Club, Olney Camera Club and a small group of enthusiasts called Focus
